Get Started
Record your first session
Before you go out
You start a recording on the sensor itself, with its button, not from the app. Switch the sensor on with a short press, outside, about five minutes before you go in. The light breathes red while it starts up, then blinks red: it is recording.
Leave it in the open with the button facing the sky for those few minutes so it can find satellites. A clean GPS fix at the start makes the whole session more accurate.
On the water
Wear the sensor on the neck cord, under your wetsuit or impact vest. Leave your phone on the beach. The sensor records everything on its own and does not need a phone connection while you ride.
Ride for at least five minutes. Recordings shorter than about five minutes are not kept.
After the session
Back on land, give the button a short press. The light changes from blinking red to pulsing blue: the recording has stopped and the sensor is ready to sync. Open the app, tap SYNC and pick your sport.
The app finds the sensor over Bluetooth, then your phone joins the sensor's own Wi-Fi network to copy the session. If your phone says that network has "No Internet", that is normal. The light is white while the session transfers. It then appears in your feed with your route, speed, distance and sport-specific metrics.
Transfer takes anywhere from a few seconds to a couple of minutes depending on session length. Keep the app open and the sensor close while it runs.
More detail on that step: how syncing works.
