Recycling and disposal

Do not put the sensor in household waste. It contains a lithium battery and electronics, and both need separate collection. The crossed-out wheelie bin mark on the housing says the same thing.

This is the simplest option. Mail crew@sandit.club and we will tell you where to send it. We handle the recycling, and it costs you nothing but the postage.

Or use local collection

Every EU country runs collection points for electrical waste, including municipal recycling centres. Many electronics retailers also take small devices back regardless of where you bought them. In the Netherlands, any milieustraat or Wecycle collection point accepts it.

The housing

It is made from recycled plastic and can be recycled again, but only once the battery and electronics have been separated out. That is a job for a proper facility rather than your recycling bin.
